Newmont Ghana Gold Limited and Newmont Golden Ridge Limited, subsidiaries of Newmont Mining Corporation, one of the would's gold mining companies, are seeking to recruit qualified and experienced persons for the following positions at its Ahafo operations and Akyem project respectively:- Senior Advisor E&I 122104

Essential Duties:

•  Assist in supervision of training programs for the national workforce in performing the electrical and instrumentation maintenance tasks for the Ahafo process plant.
•  Provide control system programming assitance with the process plant PLC's and SCADA
•  Ensure General Foreman E+I works with the stores/procurement department to ensure that all the necessary instrumentation maintenance parts and supplies are available to maintain the process plant and associated facilities.
•  Actively participate in continuous improvement programs which will assist in enhancing the performance ofthe Ahafo process plant operation.
•  Deputize for the process maintenance principal advisor role during periods of leave

Qualification Required & Experience

Technical skills, Education/ Training & Experience

•  A minimum of 8 - 10 years experience as an electrical/instrumentation supervisor in a process plant environment
•  Strong working knowledge in PLC and SCADA control systems
•  Two years experience with Allen Bradley and or/PLC-5 programmable logical controllers
•  Working knowledge in the installation, networking, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, page and graphics development of a citect SCADA system
•  Working knowledge in the mainteance of HV power distribution lines, electrical equipment and emergency power generators
