Project Brief:

• The programme Participation, Accountability, and Integrity for a Resilient Democracy (PAIReD) supports public institutions in Ghana in implementing citizen-oriented, trustworthy, and accountable governance structures at national and local level.
• PAIReD works on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in partnership with the Ministry of Finance in Ghana and is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
• The programme cooperates with ministries and national authorities, civil society organizations, as well as 60 districts.
• PAIReD supports the capacity development of its partners for making the public financial management system more transparent, fairer, and more effective.
• It advises national institutions and partner districts on developing data-based plans and inclusive planning processes, strengthening the linkages between land-use plans and development plans with an associated budget and expenditure.
• PAIReD also cooperates both with state and non-state actors to curb corruption through joint actions.
• As part of its interventions in the field of anticorruption PAIReD plans to implement a multi-donor action co-financed by the European Union that seeks to strengthen the rule of law and the fight against corruption in Ghana

Tasks:

• Management of the Logistic and Fleet Coordination team of the Governance and Peace Cluster.
• Manages office equipment and supplies, and orders new equipment and supplies for office functioning as needed.
• Manages the Rent Agreement and Payment schedule of the rent of the office buildings.
• Manages maintenance of the office facilities including repairs, overseeing work, focal person to the landlord.
• Manages cost sharing agreements for all projects.
• Focal person for security, risk management and information security.
• Represents department managers or other senior-level officers in meetings regards Logistics and Fleet coordination.
• Disciplinary management of officers in the field of fleet, logistics and facility management

Qualification Required & Experience

• Master’s degree in Administration, Facility Management, Logistic and Operations, Economic sciences or similar areas.
• At least 5 years working experience in similar position.
• At least 3 years working experience in a management position/ disciplinary management.
• Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams.
• Should take strategic approach to the planning and management of task.
• Ability to understand, follow and enforce specific instructions and safety procedure.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in project management: tracking of progress, planning of timelines.
• Ability to work quickly and in a potentially high-stress environment.
• Strong communication skills and extremely self-motivated when managing communication channels.
