Job Summary:

As its subsidiary, Tullow Ghana Limited, continues to develop, the business is looking to enhance its cadre of senior professionals.

Roles and Responsibilities:

•  Responsible for development of systems and processes defining how the Ghana Well Engineering interface with other groups (JV partners, Tullow Exploration, etc)
•  Responsible for management of well requirements information to allow detailed well planning to proceed
•  Provides routine input to the Ghana Well Engineering Team to ensure delivery of wells programmes in accordance with specified requirements
•  Ensures EHS requirements are understood by all parties associated with wells delivery and is an integral to all aspects of all activities
•  Review and approve well requirements documentation and operational programmes which dictate optimization of delivery
•  Provide technical and operational support in drilling operations including the design, execution, and post job analysis as needed
•  Maintains continuous familiarity with daily operations to ensure full understanding of issues, operational problems
•  Ensure KPI’s are agreed and understood prior to each well and performance is monitored and reported against
•  Develop interfacing I communication documentation on “how we work” between the various teams
•  Provide Well Engineering input to Operational team in Accra
•  Responsible for providing cost reporting against the Ghana Jubilee Well Engineering Budget

Qualification Required & Experience

•  A University degree in mechanical or petroleum engineering
•  Minimum of 10 years experience in upstream oil and gas industry
•  Interpersonal skills necessary to establish good working relations with team
•  High proficiency with IT and industry software including: MS Suite, Landmark
•  Experience within the last five years in water depths greater than 800 metres
•  Knowledge and experience of running of Cased Hole Frac Packs, subsea well testing, and subsea tree landing string systems
•  Work experience in remote locates and knowledge of work environments in West Africa
