The organisation, a farmer based organisation located in Tamale and active in the Northern Region is looking to recruit an outstanding and dynamic professional to play the most senior leadership role within the existing set up. The applicant is to carry out the day-to-day management of the organisation and is to handle his responsibilities in accordance with the direction and policies established by the Board.

Key Responsibilities

•   Plan, develop and execute the organisation's strategic policies and objectives, as approved by the Board
•   See to the implementation of the appropriate internal structures, control, management and decision-making systems and processes of the organisation
•   Build and manage an effective and dedicated cross-cultural work team
•   Plan, budgets, mobilise, apply and manage resources efficiently to maximise the positive impact of the organisation on the industry
•   Collaborate and build relationships with key Government, public & private sector partners & stakeholders in carrying out organisational mandates
•   Ensure compliance with the Regulators and all applicable laws of the land

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A minimum of an MBA in Business & Finance or an advanced degree related discipline from a recognised institution
•   A minimum of 10 years experience in a senior management position

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

•   A wide breadth of industry or related experience, whether acquired locally or internationally
•   A track record of direct organisational & field management experience in successfully executed socio-economic and/or agricultural themed projects
•   Outstanding skills in strategic thinking, analytical techniques and managerial leadership practices
•   The capacity to work simultaneously on multiple operational task, supervise staff of achieve set targets and obtain successful overall results
•   A highly versatile and sufficiently discerning personality to be effective across diverse regions and cultures, including the ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-specialist audiences
•   Deep knowledge of committment to and interest in the development of the agricultural and industry in Ghana.
