Title: Senior Officer, Legal
Reports To: Principal Officer, Legal

Job Summary: Assist senior lawyers by handling administrative tasks, conducting legal research, managing case files, and ensuring efficient office operations to support legal functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with documentation preparation and management, including drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents such as contracts, briefs, and pleadings.
• Schedule appointments, hearings, and court dates, coordinating with all relevant parties.
• Support trial preparation by attending trials, preparing case briefs, and ensuring all necessary materials are ready.
• Conduct legal research, including investigating case-relevant information, summarising depositions, interrogatories, and testimonies.
• Ensure that all case files and materials are organized and accessible, assisting senior lawyers in managing their caseloads.
• Maintain and update legal records, documents, and case management systems.

Qualification Required & Experience

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Paralegal Studies, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a legal environment.
• Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to draft and edit legal documents effectively.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
