Purpose of the job

To lead the firm's drive to produce excellent research findings to meet both local and international demand, sourcing and closing corporate finance deals form both local and international investor market.

Key Accountabilities

•   Perform holistic analysis of the economy of Ghana based on government budgets and policies, and local and external factors and make projections about the future
•   Analyse the sectorial and industrial performances of the economy vis-a-vis government bubgets and policies
•   Track the current happenings (activtities) of the formal and informal sectors of the economy
•   Undertake company visits, find the facts behind the figures and prepare specific reports on listed companies
•   Perform quarterly, half yearly and annual analyses of financial statements of listed companies
•   Undertake comprehensive valuation of companies  and advise on the price for IPOs, takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, share and bond floatation and asset securitisation
•   Develop strategies for corporate privatisation and private placement of debt and equity securities, and advise on corporate financial restructuring
•   Conduct investment research to identify adn advise on new investment possibilities for fund managers and current and prospective clients
•   Prepare concept documents and conduct feasibility studies on prospective projects
•   Publish interesting research findings in economic, finance and business journals, national dailies, magazines, etc.

Age: Not less than 35 years with excellent health

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Master's degree in Finance
•   Strong background in Accounting
•   CFA qualification or membership of other relevant professional body would be an advantage
•   Proven track record of success in corporate finance and research
•   Completion of GSE's Ghana Securities industry certificate course would be an advantage

Experience

•   The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years working experience in similar role.
