The senior software engineer role is a critical role which requires solid knowledge of apache/PHP and PostgreSQL (or other) RDBMS, effective programming techniques and tools. We expect you to be able to deliver defect-free work that matches the specifications as well as make significant contributions to the design of the core product technology. You will also be required to maintain existing code and complex database structures and business logic rules, resolving defects, enhancing functionality, with the ability to write and maintain complex and abstract portions of code frameworks and libraries.

•   Design and engineer server-side software.
•   Maintain existing code, troubleshoot issues, resolve bugs, refactor code.
•   Work with other teams to establish product priorities, feasibility, features.
•   Design prototypes and workable solutions from abstract ideas.

Qualification Required & Experience

Person Specifications

•   BSc. Computer Science and three years experience in similar position.
•   Experience with different programming languages, techniques and tools, preferably on large software projects.
•   Ability to write and maintain complex and/or abstract portions of code (frameworks, libraries).
•   Strong grasp of computer performance and security.
•   Excellent troubleshooting skills.
•   Experience in software configuration, deployment, refactoring.
•   Must have a "get things done" attitude.
•   Strong analytic skills, with attention to detail.
•   Self-motivated and independent thinker.
•   Keeps a cool head when under pressure.
•   Curious and willing to learn.
•   Friendly and hardworking.
