Job Vacancy For Snr. Procurement Officer
Our client is the leading pharmaceutical company in Ghana. The company now seeks a hands-on Senior Procurement Officer to advise and execute purchasing activities based on user requirements, in line with policies, procedures and tools, in order to realize optimal purchasing results and huge savings on the short and long term.
Key Accountabilities
• Ensure that all sourcing and purchasing is conducted in line with Procurement Policies
• Define optimal specifications with the business, acquire proposals and select short list of suppliers.
• Advise business and internal clients on purchasing and procurement guidelines and procedures
• Confer with Legal and Finance for guidance on the terms and the availability of funds.
• Constantly investigate the market for new suppliers and improved Procurement options.
• Ensure suppliers respect the commercial terms and the conditions (price, date, payment conditions, etc.) of orders/contracts.
• Review and analyse purchasing techniques and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Effectively manage the vendor database (update supplier database information; advice buyers on supplier information).
• Establish supply agreements and blanket orders where necessary.
• Raises purchase orders upon receipt of an approved request.
• Ensure that appropriate quotations are always received for purchases.
• Provide internal clients with information for decision-making on purchasing,
• Take proper action in case terms and conditions are not met, Processes, Procedures and Tools,
• Achieve maximum saving from all purchasing decisions.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelor degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain
• Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
