Job Vacancy For Stores and Admin Staff
This role involves handling documentation, tracking inventory, maintaining records, and ensuring that materials and tools are available when needed. The individual must be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced construction environment.
Administrative Duties:
• Maintain and organize all site-related documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and site instructions.
• Prepare and manage daily, weekly, and monthly reports for site management.
• Handle communication with contractors, and site workers, ensuring all correspondence is documented
• Manage the site office, ensuring it is well-organized and equipped with necessary supplies.
• Handle the procurement of office supplies and coordinate with vendors for office equipment maintenance.
• Ensure proper filing and archiving of documents, both in hard copy and digitally.
Inventory Management, Material Handling and Storage.
• Maintain accurate records of all materials, tools, and equipment stored on-site.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Implement effective stock control measures to minimize waste and theft.
• Receive, inspect, and verify materials delivered to the site, ensuring they meet the required specifications.
• Properly store materials in designated areas, ensuring they are protected from damage or deterioration.
• Monitor the usage of materials and tools, ensuring that they are used efficiently and returned after use.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to manage returns or replacements for defective materials.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on stock levels, usage patterns, and inventory discrepancies to your Head of .
• Communicate with the site team regarding material shortages, excesses, or any issues that may impact the construction schedule.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Procurement, inventory management, logistics, and office administration.
• Ex- Bankers with much experience in Administrative work and can do field work can apply.
• Knowledge of construction materials and equipment is preferred.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
• Experience in inventory management and procurement.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Basic understanding of construction processes and materials.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
