Position: Supervisor - Asset Protection (2 yrs)
Department: Projects (TEP 6)

Gold Fields Ghana is seeking to employ an experienced, energetic and hardworking Asset Protection Personnel. The incumbent will among other duties be responsible for safeguarding properties and assets against acts of theft and vandalism.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Patrol project premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
•  Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized and persons, or unusual occurrences
•  Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering
•  Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises
•  Periodic audits and inspections on all projects sites are scheduled and undertaken
•  Ensure security standards, procedures and guidelines are developed, disseminated implemented
•  Friendly and constructive team-working relations are established and maintained
•  Execute daily routine work in accordance with policies and procedures within prescribed guidelines

Qualification Required & Experience

Key requirements:

•  A recognized tertiary qualification in Business Studies or related field
•  Excellent knowledge security systems
•  At least 3 years work experience in a similar position or job
•  Well-developed oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to interact with people of diverse cultures and levels
•  Strong interpersonal skills, strict and fair
•  Be able to cope with pressure and results-orientated
•  Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•  Medical fitness for the position and environment
•  A valid and current light duty vehicle license and proficiency in driving a light vehicle
