We are a non-banking financial institution seeking a results-oriented and self-motivated professional to join our Deposit Guarantee team.

Reports to: Deputy General Manager, Financial Services

Duties and Responsibilities:
Report directly to the General Manager and you will:

•  Ensure that all audit reports, field reports and situation reports on credit unions are properly reviewed and documented, and institute the necessary actions to correct weaknesses identified
•  Review and appraise the soundness, adequacy and effectiveness of accounting, financial and other controls throughout the Credit Unions and ascertain its compliance with the Credit Union policies and regulations
•  Recommend for the improvement of internal controls in Credit Unions when weaknesses have been identified through various reports
•  Be responsible to conduct investigative audits when the need arises and submit reports to your immediate supervisor; including recommendations for improvements

•  Receive and enter complaints for investigation
•  Ensure that all credit unions pay their stabilization fund contributions as and when necessary
•  Develop and keep data on all credit unions for the purpose of the Deposit guarantee scheme
•  Assist credit unions where problems or weaknesses have been identified to develop business plans and set up targets to address the problem
•  Recommend training if necessary for credit unions where governance or technical problems are identified
•  Appraise all staff under the department are properly assigned and properly checked to ensure maximum performance
•  Review procedures and records for their adequacy to effectively accomplish intended objectives and appraise policies and plans to the activity or function under the scheme
•  Submit monthly reports to the Deputy General Manager for Financial Services

Qualification Required & Experience

•  BSC (Accounting Option), MBA or CA or ACCA
•  Tow years post qualification experience in a management position. Demonstrated knowledge in computer will be required
