JOB ROLE: Technical Manager
REPORT TO: General Manager

Role Summary

• You will oversee all technical matters companywide and manage our technical support team. You will work collaboratively with clients/users, the development team, and various stakeholders within the company to ensure the delivery of all products in an efficient, timely manner.

Key Tasks

• Conduct tests and assessments of new systems and repairs to ensure quality
• Supervise and coordinate technical staff operations to ensure proper resolution of company/client problems
• Ensure availability of work tools, machine, and other necessary equipment required for the performance of job duties
• Conduct periodic inspections to ensure the efficient performance of work equipment and systems
• Visit customer sites and perform installations of lift, generators and solar panels
• Carry out sites surveys in order to assist in project designs and proposals
• Prepare cost estimates required for operations, labor, and materials
• Maintain documentation and proper records of work operations and decisions taken
• Coordinate and assign to technical personnel according to their capabilities to ensure an even distribution of workload
• Monitor and review employee work performance to identify areas of inefficiency
• Mentor and motivate technical staff to deliver timely and high-quality services to customers
• Present reports of work operations to company management in order to provide information useful in taking key business decisions
• Provide hands on training to technical staff to ensure a competent and effective workforce
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the performance of work operations
• Should be available to travel

SKILLS

• Excellent Knowledge of technical systems
• In depth knowledge of mechanics electrics and electronics
• In depth knowledge of elevators, Generator, Air Conditions and solar
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams, plans and drawings
• Problem solving skills
• Must be a team player
• Must pay attention to details

Qualification Required & Experience

• Should have a minimum Degree in related field, but preferable a masters (Mechanical Engineering)
• Should have a minimum of 6 years work experience
• Should own a valid driver's license

NB: You will be required to perform any other task as assigned by the General Manager
