Description Of Job

An opportunity has opened for a proven sales professional with experience in the Oil & Gas industry. The Technical Sales Coordinator will be responsible for providing technical sales support at the regional level and supporting sales growth through the promotion of products and services. This position is based in Accra, Ghana.

Responsibilities Include:

•  Serves as first point of contact for customers and is responsible for all technical customer communications within the assigned region.
•  Offers advice on materials, products, connections, design, and other technical areas; assists customers in the technical qualification of company products; and provides technical support to company tenders.
•  Assist in the selection of products to promote regionally and markets products, materials and connections via trade shows, conferences, etc.
•  Assists in the resolution of claims, directs field service and repair functions and inspects repair shops within the region.
•  Identifies and resolves technical obstacles for customers.
•  Liaises with the Supply Chain and Quality departments with regards to Quality certification programs and manufacturing specifications.
•  Ensures standardization or regularity within the region.
•  Assists customers in their selection and provides solutions tailored towards the customers’ needs.
•  Promotes new products and technical services.
•  Handles agreements and contracts ranging from long term commitments to spot transactions.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  A bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of work experience in Oil, Oilfield Service Companies, or OCTG Supplier companies.
•  Must have a background in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering, materials, connections and drilling.
•  Must be able to demonstrate understanding of customer needs.
•  Must be innovative and able to optimize client supply chain and professional networks.
•  Must be able to lead a team and motivate them to achieve objectives.
•  Must be flexible and willing to travel to various locations when the need arises.
•  Must have excellent communication skills.
