Job Vacancy For Tellers At Bayport Financial Services (Accra, Kumasi, Techiman, Sunyani)



A leading microfinance company is looking for highly motivated professionals with high integrity, leadership abilities and a desire to be challenged for hiring as:- Teller.

Job Purpose:
To Receive Cash and Cheque Deposits and make Cash Disbursement over the Counter on day-to-day basis.

Key Competencies:

•  Ensure that all cash handling procedures are followed to secure safety of Clients’ money and efficient operations.
•  Provide over the counter advice on handling and completion of relevant BISP documentation by Clients.
•  Process withdrawals, loan disbursements, loan collections and other miscellaneous collections such as , time deposit transactions and payment of utility bills.
•  Review technical completeness and alterations of cash deposits and withdrawal transactions.
•  Prepare cash transfer slips for cash requisition and transfer.
•  Accounts and declares in the appropriate forms all financial transaction , including cash handling during the day, reports and declares teller shortages/ overages, and surrenders all cash / money received over the counter to the Branch Manager for custody.
•  Balances end of day deposits and withdrawal transactions.
•  Prepare appropriate vouchers / entries for authorization by the Branch Manager / Branch Operations for posting.
•  Acts as Secondary Custodian of the main vault, cash vault and records vault.
•  Responsible for safety of the Cash Box and its contents under his / her custody.
•  Sort and bundles bills and stamp teller number and initials on bill wrappers.
•  Markets the company’s products and services to clients through cross selling and referrals.
•  Help to promote good customer service and client relationships
•  Support transformational activities among clients and staff
•  Promote a culture of gender equity and sensitivity among branch staffs

Qualification Required & Experience

Person Profile:

•  Senior High School Certificate or a Diploma from a recognized Polytechnic or any equivalent relevant qualification.
•  At least 1 year experience and training in similar banking, lending or financial company.
•  Excellent personal attributes such as accuracy and personal integrity.
•  Must be computer literate.
