A reputable production and export company requires the services of a Trailer driver.

Department: Transport
Reports To: Position of your boss/supervisor: Transport Manager
Direct Reports: Positions Reporting to your role: None

Job Purpose

• To ensure the safe transport of either cargo or passengers from one location to another.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport both staff and goods to their desired destinations
• Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most convenient trip
• Schedule regular vehicle servicing appointments and report any issues to the Transport Manager
• Book vehicle wash services to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the car
• Use navigation applications to determine the best route
• Interact with clients professionally at all times
• Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
• Log all trips, keep an up-to-date mileage and repair records.
• Follow traffic regulations

Qualification Required & Experience

• Proven experience as a Trailer Driver
• A valid driver’s license F holder
• A clean driving record
• Familiarity with GPS devices
• Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
• Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
• A polite and professional character
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
• Ability to read and write
