Job Vacancy For Training Academy Supervisor



West African Rescue Association is seeking to recruit staff to fill the following position: Training Academy Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Course Delivery: conduct first aid training sessions, ensuring all participants understand and can apply the skills taught
• Curriculum development Assist in the development and updating of first aid training materials and curriculum in accordance with the latest guidelines and best practices
• Participant Assessment: Evaluate participants performance through practical and written assessments, providing constructive feedback to ensure comprehensive and competence
• Certification: Administer and process certifications for participants who successfully complete the training programmes
• Equipment Management: Maintain and manage training equipment and supplies, ensuring thet are in good working condition and available for all training sessions
• Compliance: Ensure all training sessions comply with national and international first aid standards and regulations
• Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant attendance and certification status
• Promotion and outreach: Assist in promoting first aid training programmes and participate in outreach activities to engage the community and potential clients
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest first aid techniques, guidelines and industry developments to continually improve training programmes
• Monitor and evaluate training programme's effectiveness, success and ROI periodically
• Manage training budget
• Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
• Provide management report at the end of each calendar month of the statistics from the Training Academy - overview who was trained company and names, where the training took place, overview of feedback - how many good comments, how many neutral and how many positive

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of bachelor's degree
• Current certification as a First Aid Instructor from a recognised organisation
• Be business-oriented, goal-driven and self-motivated
• Exhibit excellent presentation skills to perform trainings effectively
• A minimum of 3 years of working experience in a similar environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training sessions and responsibilities
• Demonstrates proficiency in performing and teaching first aid techniques covered in the curriculum.
• Good leadership, supervisory and interpersonal skills
• Must be I.T savvy. (Word, basic excel, PowerPoint etc)
• Candidates with medical background will have an advantage
