Job Vacancy For Transport Manager
A reputable company seeks the services of a Transport Manager.
Duties
• Management of the entire transport yard
• Prepare journey plans for each trip and ensure that drivers adhere to the approved routes
• Develop a KPI for the operations of the transport yard
• Maintain electronic database insurance, inspections and maintenance of fleet management and drivers
• Prospect for potential business for the trucks
• Streamlining and monitor fuel purchase system and fuel dispensing to the trucks and ensure that the right quantity is given for each trip
• Investigate product losses and make recommendations on the findings
• Performing vehicler registration, insurance and any legal informalities and documentations with regard to the induction of new vehicles in existing fleet
• Management of the drivers of the vehicles - Up-to-Date Driving license, driver tag and frequent toolbox meeting for the drivers
• Daily review and tracking of vehicle movements
• Ensure that drivers have a good understanding and have procured all licenses and permits needed to legally carry product to customer destinations
• Oversee the maintenance team in relation to repairs or routine maintenance of the vehicles
• Ensure fleet availability to meet all requests by scheduling, forecasting and surveying current user trends
• Regulate budget cycle requirements and control budgeting process by planning and preparing annual budget, expenditures and analyse all financial objectives
• Ensuring vehicle compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Any other duties assigned
Qualification Required & Experience
• Master's Degree in Transport and logistics management or any related field
• 5 years in the downstream petroleum industry management
• Strong computer skills required
• Fair knowledge in interpreting tracking device reports
