Job Summary

•   Lead in the implementation of waste management program at the mine site;
•   Manage the integrated waste management Facility program;
•   Assist in the review of STPS and SOPS for the functional area tasks;
•   Assist in developing and instituting waste management training modules for employees and contractors on the project site;
•   Conduct scheduled inspection and audit the performance of Site potable and waste water treatment plant;
•   Participate in hazardous waste tracking and provide training to employees on waste and water management as specified in the waste management plan;
•   Participate in spill response and control procedure;
•   Provide technical support to improve the performance of the treatment plants Technicians;

Qualification Required & Experience

•   BSc. in Environmental Management or other science related field such as chemistry, and biology;
•   Minimum of 2 years environmental management experience working in the mining or related industry;
•   Strong leadership and interpersonal skills;
•   Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, database management and GIS experience;
•   Ability to ensure proper coordination and organization of work among team;
•   Ability to monitor and assess the performance of field staff and develop them in appropriate areas to ensure proper collection and disposal of waste;
•   Well developed oral and written communication skills;
•   Must possess a valid Ghanaian driving license and have the ability to drive in rough terrain.
