Our client, a newly established stone quarry in Northern Ghana requires the services of a Workshop Superintendent for immediate employment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

•   To effectively, efficiently and economically manage the mechanical repair and maintenance of the Quarry Plant and vehicles of the Company.
•   Hands on Plant maintenance and mechanical repair of the Company Plant, machinery, equipment and heavy duty vehicles.
•   Advising the Managing Director on all mechanical matters, ensuring necessary information required for control and planning of the Company fleet of machinery, equipment and vehicles.
•   Continuous review and development of the machinery available to ensure the best available machinery at all times.
•   Maintenance or proper records of repair and maintenance of the machinery, equipment and vehicles.
•   Monthly/Quarterly machinery reports.
•   Timely and efficient maintenance and servicing of the Plant and Equipment to enhance sustained production at all times.
•   Section Annual Budget preparation.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Qualification in HND Mechanical Engineering degree
•   Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent industry experience
•   Minimum of 10 years in the construction and mining industry
•   People management experience
•   Demonstrated leadership skills and competency
