An outstanding Art Gallery is looking for a Manager to take the enterprise to the next level and lead the establishment in showcasing artistic talent in Ghana:- Gallery Manager - Job Ref: GM - 001

Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities in this role may vary and include, but are not limited to:

•   Positioning the gallery as a focal point for talent promotion and exhibition in Ghana
•   Developing and maintaining the gallery's remit
•   General operational administration and set up and positioning of artwork
•   Maintain ongoing promotion and advertising campaigns of the gallery
•   Assessment and selection of artwork
•   Assessing market demands and overseeing the type of artwork sold
•   Planning, organizing, presenting and marketing exhibitions and shows, including responsibility for public relations
•   Building relationships with stakeholders, including artists and regulators
•   Curating shows in cooperation with artists and technicians
•   Arranging transportation of work to and from gallery, both nationally and internationally
•   Negotiation with gallery managers and curators from other galleries for financing
•   Information dissemination on technical and artistic matters relating to programming, exhibitions, artists
•   Developing client database
•   Liaising with visiting artists and negotiating sales
•   Cataloguing acquisitions, keeping records and archives
•   Developing and updating the gallery website
•   Keeping up to date with industry developments and market trends
•   General administration, budgeting, finance and accounts

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A university degree holder with previous experience working in a similar establishment for a minimum of two years and exposure and knowledge of art
•   Passion for creativity and a keen eye for detail is a requirement to be successful in this role
•   Candidates with a good network and association with local artists will have an added advantage
