Job Summary
RTI International is seeking professionals for an anticipated four-year programme to help improve Ghanaian children's learning outcomes in primary and secondary school by strengthening the quality of initial teacher training and teaching practices and promoting girl-friendly and learning-enabling schools. Position is based in Ghana
Gender and Education Specialist will provide technical guidance in support of project goals, ensuring that gender equity is an integral part of all activities. This will include reviewing teaching and learning materials to ensure gender equity and inclusiveness, capacity building efforts across all levels of the education system on gender sensitivity issues, and support for innovative efforts to foster gender-equitable classrooms.
Qualification Required & Experience
Master's degree in gender studies, education or related field.
• 6 years of relevant gender andeducation sector experience in Ghana
• Prior experience ensuring inclusivity in teaching and learning materials,designing or delivering coaching and teacher mentoring programs, and/or gender-related training in the education sector.
• Strong understanding of Ghana laws and practices around gender, equality and inclusion.
• DFID experience a plus
