Job Title: General Manager

Job Summary

• An individual who has a broad view and is familiar with all areas of the business and can coordinate processes and operations across the organization
• The General Manager must have adequate knowledge and understanding of engineering, production, finance and accounting, operations, sales, marketing, human resources and research and research and development

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations for the business unit or organization
• Ensure the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the business
• Ensure continuous efficiency of production to achieve results and cost saving measures for all units of the organisation
• Improve profitability and performance of the organisation and delivery of results by all functional areas in the organisation
• Oversee key hiring and talent development programmes
• Evaluate and decide upon key investments in equipment, infrastructure and talent
• Communicate strategy ad results to the unit's employees
• Responsible for preparing financial and operational report for effective management
• Monitor business unit departments to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed services while staying within budgetary limits

Qualification Required & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering
• A Master's degree or a professional certificate in a business related field
• A minimum of 10 years working experience in a similar field with 5 years being a senior management
