Position:- Graphics Designer

Main Purpose

The job holder will conceptualize and design graphic deliverables such as collateral material, environmental graphics, magazines, product packaging, exhibitions and display, corporate communications, corporate identity, film/videos and multimedia interfaces from concept to completion.
     
Main Responsibilities

•   Create designs, concepts and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts
•   Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type
•   Confer with supervisor to discuss and determine layout design
•   Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and Internet websites
•   Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed
•   Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with supervisors and making necessary changes
•   Developing interactive design
•   Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work
•   Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts
•   Use computer software to generate new images
•   Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as InDesign, QuarkXPress, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and CorelDraw.
•   Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts and art working pages ready for print
•   Maintain archive of images, photos or previous work products
•   Mark up, paste, and assemble final layouts to prepare layouts for printer
•   Draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations and other artwork, using computer
•   Study illustrations and photographs to plan presentation of materials, products, or services
•   Research new design concepts
•   Photograph layouts, using camera, to make layout prints for supervisors or clients.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A  diploma in graphic design from a recognized institution
•   At least  1-3 years working experience as a graphic designer
