The Role:

•   Devises effective planned maintenance system for all the five (5) mines and manage/improve maintenance management tools so as to ensure optimum equipment availability
•   Verifies / carries - out engineering innovations and improvements aimed at improving equipment reliability and determination of the necessary capital expenditure
•   contributes to budget preparation and control of production costs through analysis of power and maintenance costs and recommending improvement areas.
•   Provides technical support in the event of break-downs
•   Ensure that engineering skills are developed and maintained at levels that are commensurate with technological developments.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   BSc Degree in Mechanical / Engineering or equivalent
•   10 years experience in the mining or heavy engineering industry
•   Excellent project / programme management skills
•   Developing and executing major projects
•   Working skills of computers, AutoCAD, SAP and MS Office
