A reputable rural bank in the Western Region requires the services of the following: Head of Finance and Administration

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the General Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the following functions among others:

•   Preparation of reconciliation statement with clearing banks
•   Consolidation of weekly, monthly and quarterly returns
•   Analyse financial statement statement and advise management on trends
•   Handling the e-fass, T24 process, etc
•   Ensuring that prudential returns are submitted to the Central bank on time
•   Management of investment portfolios of the Bank
•   Responsible for secretarial, utilities, transport, security and general welfare of the Bank
•   In-charge of the human resource management
•   Management of archives
•   Assist in the preparation of appraisal, monitoring and evaluation reports of staff
•   Responsible for organising conferences, workshops, seminars and meetings
•   Coordinate staff training and development
•   Explain Bank's policies, rules and regulations to staff / directors

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting or investment and or part qualified accountant
•   Candidate must demonstrate capacity to manage a department
•   A minimum of five (5) years' experience in rural banking or savings and loans company with at least 3 years in management position

Technical Skills

•   Must be well versed in financial reporting and interpretation
•   Good oral and written communication skills
•   Good management, administrative and organisational capacities
•   Good leadership skills
•   Must be computer literate and conversant with T24
