Job Description

•   Carry out risk assessments and considering how risks could be reduced in the plant and officers.
•   Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards.
•   Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
•   Investigate, suggest and implement changes to already existing working practices that are not safe and do not comply with legislation.
•   Prepare health and safety strategies and develop same internally.
•   Lead in house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
•   Keep records of inspection findings and producing reports that suggest improvement.
•   Record of incidents and accidents and producing statisitcs for managers.
•   Update staff on new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety legislation and any development that affect the company.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   HND in Health and Safety
•   Three (3) years experience working as a Health and Safety Officer or any related job field.
