Job Vacancy For Hospital Information System Manager
A leading private Hospital in Accra invites applications from suitably qualified persons with the requisite specifications and experience for the appointment into the position of: Hospital Information System Manager
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the overall administration of the Hospital information system (HIS) Department within Hospital
• Develop and implement strategic Plan to leverage and position the Hospital in the healthcare services industry
• Report all HIS activities to management and attend management meetings
• Draw up the budget and determine the human resource needs of the department
• Ensure that the Hospital ICT strategic programme in developed, implemented and adapted to reflect emerging changes and developments
• Provide support for overall ICT programme management
• Lead and undertake support roles in project within all programmes
• Design, develop and support the common ICT technical infrastructure (e.g. the data communication network)
Qualification Required & Experience
• First Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent
• A postgraduate degree will be an advantage
• Minimum of eight (8) years working experience
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Solid foundation in information technology, Project Management and Business Management
• Strong analytical skills
• Understanding the concept of object-oriented systems and service oriented architecture
• Good knowledge of LAN, WAN, ICT security issues and systems
• Perform periodic maintenance and servicing of HIS system of improve operational efficiency
• Develop and supervise the implementation of HIS policies to ensure data accuracy, system security and customer service delivery
• Recommend and implement new technology solutions to improve productivity
• Supervise customer support for operating system (OS) issues, Network problems and software installations, etc.
• Ensure career development of IT staff and general training of users for effective utilization of application systems
• Perform any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Chief Executive Officer.
