Job Vacancy For Hotel Manager / House Manager At AMKOGLOBAL (Eastern Region)
A vacancy has arisen at a 15-bed hotel in a quiet Municipal Town in the Eastern Region. Reporting to the General Manager, the right candidate will be responsible for the overall running of the hotel. The place is not a commercial town and marketing is a critical success factor to this role. Therefore, a marketing-oriented and dynamic person with an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to overcome challenges is the ideal candidate.
Job Summary / Duties
• Plan and organise accommodation, catering and other hotel services to promote and market the business.
• Manage budgets and financial plans as well as control expenditure
• Plan and delegate work schedules for individual staff members on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Conduct an environmental analysis and devise marketing and revenue management strategies for the business.
• Maintain a friendly contact with the various heads of institutions in the community and all stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, eg. Health and Safety, returns to VAT and other statutory regulations.
Remuneration
In return, we offer a decent salary with monthly bonus for achieving targets. A rent-free accommodation and the use of a company car will be at your disposal.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Have a minimum of HND in hotel management with 3 years practical experience in hospitality.
• Demonstrate excellent professional competencies.
• Excellent report writing skills and a good communicator.
• Remain calm under pressure and meet necessary deadlines as needed.
• Computer Literate – This will be tested.
