Job Vacancy For Human Resource Manager



A reputable rural bank in the Ashanti Region is looking for a Human Resource Manager for a two-year contract period.

Job Purpose

•   To establish a strong and a fully functioning Human Resource Department and prepare officers to take up leadership roles at the end of the contract period.

Key Responsibilities related to the purpose are:

•   Implement policies relating to the effective use of personnel within the bank.
•   Provide support in the various human resource functions, which include payroll, staffing, HR reporting, Staff performance monitoring and employee counselling.
•   Ensure that accurate job descriptions for all members of staff are prepared and in place
•   Conduct staff performance evaluations
•   Develop Human Resource plans
•   Develop and monitor scheduled absence such as leave, public holidays and coordinate actions to ensure that staff absence has been adequately covered to provide for continuity of work.
•   Conduct exit interviews for resigning staff.
•   Identify job vacancies and ensure the timely filling of the vacancies in the bank.
•   Provide advice and assistance to staff and management on pay and benefits systems.
•   Facilitate the preparation of Human Resource budgets and reports, analyse training needs as well as training plans for approval
•   Facilitate third party service relationships relating to Manpower and other services.
•   Handling industrial relations practices and procedures as well as managing grievance, discipline, employee welfare and health issues.
•   Perform other related duties as required.
•   Advise on policies to be formatted for effective operation of the Human Resource Department

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management/Development, Administration, Social Science, Management or any related degree.
•   MBA in HRM will be an advantage.

Eligibility

Applicants who are eligible to apply are:

•   Retired Human Resource Management and Administration Manager with experience in Rural Banking environment

OR

•   A minimum of six years working experience in Human Resource Management and Administration, three years of which must be in Managerial position and preferably in a Rural Banking environment
•   Conversant with personnel systems and staff performance management in a financial institution.
•   Excellent computer skills.
•   Report writing skills are essential.
•   Good interpersonal relationship i.e. ability to relate well with all manner of persons.
