Job Vacancy For Human Resource Manager

Job Purpose
• To develop HR strategies in recruitment, reward management and talent development of a highly qualified and competent workforce that will contribute towards the enhancement of productivity to support the company's business strategies and objectives
• Develop plans that provide for continuity in key management positions through a career development and succession planning process to strengthen the company's capability to meet business objectives
Functions / Roles
• Recommends and implements employee related policies and HR strategies to attract, retain and motivate staff through manpower planning, recruitment and selection, performance management system, training and development and compensation and benefits
• Develops and maintains HR policies, structures and administrative procedures, which promote trust and confidence among staff and enable line management to manage and motivate staff
• Develops and maintains cordial management and employee relations and provide counsel to line management on employee related matters to promote industrial place and productivity
• Administers within company policy, compensation, benefits and other employee related surveys, analyses and make appropriate recommendations to management
• Manages the performance management system as an effective tool for rewards management and career development requirement, serves as advisor to line management on career development, advising on methods and procedures, providing counsel on placement and selection of employees and monitoring the implementation of approved development programme
• Develops and implements a career development and succession planning system that provide back-up human resources for continuity in key management positions
• Manages third party contract agreement to provide services such as canteen, staff health support etc. to promote the welfare of staff
• Audits draft job descriptions, prepares them in finished form for evaluation, assists with evaluation by conducting relevant studies and analyses and makes appropriate grading recommendations. Keep a running file for current job descriptions
• Liaises with legal manager on all legal matters affecting employees and other related matters
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum qualification of First Degree in Humanities
• A masters degree in human resources or a professional qualification in a relevant discipline would be an added advantage
• Highly computer literacy with good knowledge in Microsoft Applications would be an added advantage
• Should be between the ages of 40 to 50 years
• Should have at least 8 years relevant working experience in human resources management with at least a minimum of 5 years in top management position
