A reputable institution in Accra has a vacancy for the position of: Human Resource Officer

Job Objective

•   The role of the incumbent is to assist the Human Resource and Administrative Manager (HR/AM) to provide HR operational support, in order to achieve the organisational goal through continuous improvement in the quality of HR management processes, adherence to HR policies and procedures as well as best corporate practices in people management.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

•   Assist the HR/AM to design and implement HR strategies for achieving organizational objectives
•   Assist in the recruitment and retention of high quality personnel and provide training and development programmes
•   Assist in the planning and administration of employee welfare services and the conduct of effective employee assessment exercises
•   Assist in the establishment of effective communication system between management and employees at all levels in the organization and maintenance of discipline and the delivery of a fair administrative justice in accordance with ELCS policies and general labour statues of this country

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A good first degree in Human Resource Management or any relevant professional certification with two years experience in a similar position is required. The person must be proficient in computer system applications such as Word processing, Excel, Power-point as well as excellent report writing skills
•   A good knowledge of the labour law (Act 651) and a membership of the institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners are required
