An innovative and fast-growing group is seeking experienced and self-motivated persons to fill the following vacancy: Legal Officers

Job Summary

• Provide legal representation to the group
• Advise on legal matters and performs legal research for the group and to the benefit of the company
• Advise on issues such as contracts, property interests, government regulations and patents and other agreements entered into by the company
• Draft and negotiate agreements, contracts and other legal documents for the company
• Work with external legal counsel on court proceedings
• Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of relevant legal topics specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance
• Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations with legal effect
• Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advise on possible legal issues
• Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc)
• Maintain current knowledge of alternation in legislation

Qualification Required & Experience

• 2 to 5 years in the field of law
• University law degree. Additional training in any relevant field in law or equivalent education is an advantage
• Qualification to practice as a lawyer
• Fluent in written and spoken English and any other languages
• Excellent knowledge of Ghana corporate law
• Experience in company and corporate law
• Good computer literacy
• Ability to undertake research and produce legal submissions and publications
