Abt Associates is a major American business and government research, technical assistance, and consulting company, manages the USAID-funded Africa IRS (“Indoor Residual Spraying”) Project, which seeks to reduce the burden of malaria in 14 African countries through cost-effective commodities procurement and logistics systems, access to technical expertise, and implementation of Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS).

•   Logistics Assistant (4  Positions)
•   Duration of Contract: Up to Three Months
•   Stations: East Mamprusi, Savelugu/Nanton, West Mamprusi and Bunkpurugu Yunyoo.
•   Reporting to Spray Operations Coordinator (SOC)

RESPONIBILITIES

•   Manage all logistics received for IRS activities in the district.
•   Manage supplies  and daily logistical needs of the  IRS sector offices
•   Prepare weekly logistic needs of each site.
•   Manage the district warehouse in compliance with the Best Management Practices.
•   Prepare logistic requests and make follow ups.
•   Prepare monthly logistic reports
•   Undertake other logistic duties as may be assigned by the Spray Operations Coordinator.
•   Supervise Store Assistants in the district

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Undergraduate degree or HND in the relevant field and previous experience in logistics management.
•   Good communication, negotiation and analytical skills
•   Must be able to work as team, overtime, under pressure and meet deadlines.
•   Must be computer literate
•   MUST be able to ride a motorbike and possess a valid license.
•   MUST be able  to stay and work in the  districts
