Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise and carry out maintenence activities in accordance with with the planned maintence system (AMOS), ensuring:

1)  All maintence and maintence related activities are carried out to the highest standards
2)  All test and inspection routines required by the planned maintence sysytem are completed
3)  Proper records are maintained.
4)  Review and update job descriptions for the planned maintainence AMOS as required

•   Effect and repair of plant and machinery afer failure.
•   Ensure that the instructions given the the maintainence supritendents are executed and that they are kept informed of progress in all work under their supervision, including the status of spare parts, stores and consumables, and repairs.
•   Ensure the Permit to Work (PTW) system is adhered to and that all isolations to plant and machinery are in compliance with the MODEC Isolation Philosophy.
•   Liaise and co-operate with the OIM and other departments, ensuring that they are made aware of maintenance activities.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Recognized technical or academic qualification (E)
•   VQ - Maintaining Plant & Equipment - Mechanical Systems - Level 3 (E)
•   VQ - OPITO Units - Emergency Response Training Systems - Level 3 (E)

Experience:

•   Minimum 5 years offshore experience (E).
•   Previous experience with Safety critical elements & responsibility for maintenance of hydrocarbon process and marine plant and equipment (E).
•   Previous FPSO experience (E)
•   Thorough knowledge of the PTW system and risk assessment procedures

E) = Essential requirement that must be met before a candidate is appointed
D) = Desirable requirement. Candidate may be appointed, with discretion, without full achievement of criterion but the indicated competence should be developed.

Team Working:

•   Adopt flexible working attitude to provide support across departments to ensure team success.
•   Conduct work group / toolbox briefings.
•   Create, maintain & enhance effective working relations and identify & minimise interpersonal conflict.
•   Maintain effective communication with Supervisors and other work groups.

Communications/Reporting:

•   To report any defect or inspection report to relevant Production Supervisor in a clear and concise manner and record all relevant information in logs as required.
•   Ensure a safe and comprehensive handover is given at shift or crew change with all pertinent operational and maintenance information to relevant personnel.
•   Provide required input to vessel meetings, planning, initiatives etc.

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

•   Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with the Safety Management System, including vessel safety regulations and positively support all safety initiatives and improvements
•   Proactively contribute to delivery against HSE plans and improvement objectives.
•   Be aware of physical condition of plant & equipment to ensure technical integrity is maintained; raise issues and concerns identified.
