Role Purpose
Provide field and backend support to the Consumer &Market Understanding Team for timely and accurate delivery of insight generating projects.
Key Responsibilities
Quantitative Market Research
oCATI - Executing computer assisted telephone interviews
oCAPI/PAPI - Executing computer assisted /paper basedpersonal interviews in the field
Qualitative Market Research
oSupport Consumer & Market Understanding Team in recruiting participants for FGD/IDIs and other qualitative studies
oParticipate in ethnographic and other consumer/dealer immersion studies
Market Intelligence
oWork with Consumer & Market Understanding team to proactively gather intelligence on competitors and new market trends
Data Entry/ Processing
oEdit, code and capture data collected through PAPI
oGenerate basic tables, summaries and presentations as requested by Consumer and Market Understanding Team
Qualification Required & Experience
• University degree in Statistics, Marketing, Psychology, Sociology or Anthropology
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE
• Interviewing experience
• Knowledge of consumer behavior and psychology
• Knowledge and experience of survey organization and management is a plus
CORE COMPETENCIES
• Analytical and critical thinking abilities with an eye for details
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (English and at least two local Ghanaian languages)
• Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
• Computer literate (Intermediate MS Excel and PPT skills) and tech savvy.
• Ability to work effectively with a wide range of cultures in a diverse community.
• Willingness to travel on research assignments within Ghana at short notice
• Excellent interpersonal skills (able to engage strangers with little difficulty)
