Marie Stopes International Ghana (MSIG) has vacancies for well-organised, client-oriented and energetic individuals with relevant qualification/s and experience to occupy the under-listed position/s in the organisation. MSIG's goal is to meet the needs of the underserved and improve access to the use of Family Planning (FP) and other Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) services.MSIG is part of Marie Stopes International's global partnership, which operates in over 37 countries worldwide.
Job Summary
The Marketing Manager will assist the Director of Marketing and Business Development to develop the marketing strategies for the organisation and also for all the channels of service delivery. S/he will oversee the implementation of strategies and plans for increased market penetration and service numbers, develop metrics for measuring impact of campaigns as well as ensuring that all the organisational employees play their role as required. The role will also be responsible for supervising the coordination of national and local promotional activities as well as identifying opportunities for corporate/business partnerships
The post will report to the Director, Marketing and Business Develop
Key Responsibilities
• Support the development, implementation and the monitoring of all integrated marketing plans for all the channels of service delivery
• Monitor service uptake, client feedback, marketing budgets and review trends in order to make recommendation to increase service numbers
• Develop targeted marketing promotions to increase uptake of long-term contraceptive methods (LTDs) through the Social Franchise network and centres of excellence
• Ensure that the organisation brand and key messages are consistently applied to a range of materials aimed at our different stakeholder groups (both internal and external)
• Develop strategies to increase the visibility of national call centre but most especially Mariecall
• Work with the media on the activities of the organisation through feature articles, promotional programme etc
• Supervise national and local promotional activities and identify opportunities for corporate/business partnerships that will contribute to the organisation's mission and goal
• Any other duties which will ensure the smooth and effective running of the organisation
Qualification Required & Experience
• At least 7 years of relevant post-graduation work experience and ability to build successful relationships
• Demonstrated good understanding of product and service marketing
• Experience in marketing to young people and knowledge of current communications methods
• Experience of managing and working with brands
• Experience of using marketing research and analysis techniques and tools to inform decision making
• Experience in delivering publications and marketing collateral on time and on budget
• Experience of working with databases and CRM systems
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and be able to write high-quality reports
• Experience in working for and with international NGOs (or multilateral or bilateral agencies such as the UN)
• Sympathetic to women and men seeking family planning and reproductive health services
• Customer focused with good interpersonal skills to engage with people at all levels government, donor and community
• Passionate about maternal health, culturally sensitive and prochoice
• Team player and self motivator and able to motivate other to achieve results and enthusiastic
This is a local position. Interested Non-Ghanaians must therefore have the necessary legal permits required to work in Ghana
