A reputable organization seeks to engage the services of the following: Mechanical Engineering Technician

Job Summary

•   Plan, schedule and monitor work of plumbers
•   Supervise the installation and maintenance of air-conditions and mechnical equipment
•   Inspect mechanical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustments or repairs and ensure compliance with relevant codes
•   Diagnose malfunction air conditioning and other mechnical systems, equipment and compenents to locate the cause of malfunction and correct minor faults
•   Estimate materials for work orders and obtain competitive prices for equipment and supplies required
•   Study technical drawings and specfications of air conditioning systems to ensure that they conform to standards
•   Assist mechnical engineer to prepare mechnical engineering specifications
•   Assist Mechnical Engineer to test mechnical systems and installations to ensure compatibility and safety of system
•   Audit consultants fee claims and contractors works certificates
•   conduct site inspections and attend site meetings

Qualification Required & Experience

•   HND in Mechanical Engineering (Refrigeration & Air-conditioning)
•   Five (5) years working experience in related field

Competencies

•   Must be able to analyze technical data, designs or specification
•   Should possess verbal and written communication skills
•   Should be computer literate with competencies in CAD, Microsoft Excel & Word
•   Ability to test air-conditioning and other mechnical systems
•   Ability to work methodically and pay attention to detail
•   Must be aware of safety measures and procedures
•   Should have basic knowledge of principles of project management
•   Must be meticulous, result oriented and be able to uphold confidentiality
