Job Vacancy For Media Planner



An Advertising Agency is currently recruiting for the following position below: Media Planner

Key Responsibilities

•   Working with the client and the account team to understand the client's business objectives and advertising strategy
•   Media Analysis, monitoring and Evaluation
•   Making decisions on the best form of media for specific clients and campaigns
•   Maintaining contacts with media owners, ensuring statistics, circulation and viewing figures are up to date
•   Liaising with the creative team and clients about the most effective media combination
•   Considering appropriate timings of media activities, based upon usage patterns and seasonal factors
•   Presenting media proposals, including timings and cost breakdowns, helping client to reach a final decision about their future advertising strategy
•   Obtaining the best advertising rates that fit with the agreed media strategy
•   Adjusting media schedules in response to the latest audience figures
•   Managing budgets and maintaining advertising spend records
•   Monitoring and updating clients on the effectiveness of campaigns

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Qualified applicant must be a first degree holder with 3 years or more years working experience in the advertising industry

Qualities

Advertising Media Planners/Buyers Should be:

•   Aware of media trends and have a flair for business and commerce
•   Resourceful and creative, recognising good opportunities
•   Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
•   Analytical and comfortable interpreting data into meaningful research
•   Computer literate
•   Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
