Job Vacancy For Monitoring And Evaluation Officer
Marie Stopes International Ghana (MSIG) has vacancies for well-organised, client-oriented and energetic individuals with relevant qualification/s and experience to occupy Monitoring and Evaluation Officer position in the organisation. MSIG’s goal is to meet the needs of the underserved and improve access to the use of Family Planning (FP) and other Sexual Reproductive Health and Right (SRHR) services. MSIG is part of Marie Stopes International’s global partnership, which operates in over 37 countries worldwide.
Length of contract: Two (2) years contract
The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer is responsible for obtaining all data from our services delivery channels (Social franchise and Outreach sites), as stipulated in the Monitoring & Evaluation plan. The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will report to the Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Support the review of existing M&E and management information systems of implementing partners and MSIG to identify support areas.
• Collect and analyse data and prepare consolidated progress reports for internal stake holders and implementing partners.
• Work with partner M&E staff, MSIG staff and implementing partners to carry out effective monitoring of project activities
• Coordinate and conduct data quality checks and assistance I
• Provide monitoring oversight to all the project components, managing and accounting for team expense
• Build relations with key staff and project donors.
• Collect data to ensure high-quality results are received to aid learning and donor reporting
• Harmonise data collection, indicators and reporting between MOH, implementing partners and MSIG .
• Ensure that data privacy, security and backup protocols are implemented in the field through the relevant individual/teams
• Support research and innovations that might present research opportunities for MSIG
• Maintain an updated database of key GHS persons and other partners
• Regularly provide project updates to Health management teams at the regions and districts
• Any other duties that may come up
Qualification Required & Experience
• First Degree in Statistics, Mathematics or Economics
• Other professional qualifications, ideally report writing.
• At least two (2) years of relevant work experience post national service
• Facilitate training for team members and stakeholders
• Strong presentation skills
• Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, analysing and writing-up high quality research;
• Research, project management and INGO experience;
• Demonstrated capabilities of producing results when working with individuals from a range of cultures with varying levels of expertise;
• Demonstrated experience of actively collaborating with both internal and external stake holders
• IT literate – competence with MS Office, Excel and SPSS (preferred) or STATA
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
• Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
• Passionate about fieldwork and proven ability to train others
• Sympathetic to women and men seeking Family Planning and Reproductive Health services
• Able to work on own initiative and motivate others to achieve results
• Customer focused with good interpersonal skills to engage with people at all levels -government, donor and community
• Team Player and Motivates team members to deliver high-quality service and results
