For growth reasons VisionFund Ghana, an International Micro-finance Institution in Ghana is looking for competent persons to fill the following key position:- Network Administrator

Purpose of the position:

Reporting to the IT Manager, the holder of the role is responsible for network systems administration and management. He/she will be responsible for designing, organisation, modifying, installing and supporting MFT's computer network systems. Install, configure, and support an organisation's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet system, and intranet systems or a segment of a network sytem. Maintain network hardware and software.

Major Responsibilities:
Quality Service Delivery / Operational Management:

•   Establishes network specifications by conferring with users, analyzing workflow, access, information and security requirement, designing router administration,  including interface configuration and routing protocols.
•   Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, through put, good put and latency, planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration and testing of equipment, defininf network policies and procedures establishing connections and firewalls etc.
•   Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control and evaluation, maintaining documentation. Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs, providing references and support.

Qualification Required & Experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

•   Require Bachelor Degree with a technical major such as engineering or computer science, or technical relation field
•   3 years of experience as a network adminsitrator and experience with Cisco routers and switches, from entry level to enterprise level
•   Experience with Cisco and other firewall equipment and multi-layer farewall implementations
•   Experience supporting a mixed OS environment, integrating services from both Windows and Linux servers (e.g. Active Directory, SMTP servers, etc)
•   Experience in network design, implementation and performance tuning
•   MCP / MCSE, CCNA certification
•   Experience with SAN and NAS equipment, including ISCSI, Fiber Channel and NFS servers is a plus
•   Ability to work to aggressive and critical timelines
•   Excellent customer focus and inter personal relations skills
•   Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organisational, problem-solving and analytical skills
•   Must be a committed and active Christian
