For growth reasons VisionFund Ghana, an International Microfinance Institution in Ghana is looking for competent persons to fill the following key position:- People and Culture (HR) Manager

Purpose of the position:

Manages and coordinates the Human Resources Functions for the Microfinance Institution (MFI within the partnership) including manpower planning, recruitment & selection, orientation, placement, compensation package, performance appraisals, staff capacity building

Major Responsibilities:

•   Board coordinator: manages board activities
•   Ensure that HR is represented in all areas of the organizationa and that the HR manual, organisational structure and job descriptions are regularly updated and in compliance with the Microfinance institution partnership acceptable standards
•   Staffing plan
•   Recruitment, selection, orientation and placement
•   Develop compensation package
•   Performance appraisal
•   Staff capacity building
•   Termination of staff
•   Supervises the effective provision of administrative services

Qualification Required & Experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

•   University degree in Human resources, social sciences, or psychology
•   Masters degree in HRM / HRD preferred
•   Professional qualification - IHRMP, Ghana Certified HR / Professional level

Experience:

•   Prolonged experience in managing relatef field
•   At least six (6) years experience in a supervisory and managerial position, i.e leading teams to achieve results

Familiarity with the relevant personnel management issues and trends in Ghana and globally:

•   Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team
•   Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of integrity
•   Ready to comply and live up to and in accordance with the organisation ideals and Core Values
•   Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
•   Be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor and coach
•   Very good communication and negotiation skills
•   Must be a committed christian
