Our client is an Exploration and Production (E&P) company, with its headquaters in Ghana. Our client is currently carrying out an evaluation og existing discoveries and exploration operations offshore Ghana. The company is seeking to fill the following position with competent professionals: Principal Geophysicist

Role and Responsibilities

•   Provide high quality geophysical evaluation and advice to the Development Team and Management
•   Be responsible for data quality of any new seismic data acquisition by the company
•   Provide weekly updates / seismic interpretations for static reservoir models and development wells execution
•   Perform detailed synthetics to well ties
•   Undertake quantitative geophysical studies, evaluation and QC as required
•   Play a key role in ongoing & future field development / infill planning studies
•   Provide mentorship and training to graduate employees and secondees
•   Provide technical guidance and assistance to other teams, and participate in major projects as required
•   Provide technical assistance in field volumetric assessment and undertake mapping studies as required

Qualification Required & Experience

•   MSc in Geology / Geophysics is essential. PhD preferred
•   15+ years industry experience with 5 years in a Lead role
•   Strong background in Development Geophysics
•   Excellent technical computer skills are required
•   Fluent written and spoken English is required
