Yinson Production is a multinational Company in the business of building, operating and managing Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels, Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessels, and Mobile Offshore Production Units (MOPU) for the Oil and Gas Industry. Currently Yinson Production operates FPSO’s in Gabon, Nigeria, Vietnam and soon in Ghana. Yinson Production has formed a Joint venture company, Yinson Production West Africa Ltd (YPWAL) in Ghana with Oil and Marine Agencies Limited (OMA Ghana).

Mission
• Management of process related operations and meeting the KPIs for production and safety. Ensure continuous process operation with a minimum of down time.
Scope
• Area of responsibility covers management of the unit’s process plant.
• Assist the OIM in emergency response.
• The management may assign additional tasks not listed in Job Description
Duties:
• Execute and coordinate actions to maintain utilities and energy sources necessary to support daily production
• To ensure a safe, high quality and cost effective process operation and maintenance of the unit’s production systems with minimum environmental impact in accordance with legislation, class, flagsafety and Unit Management System.
• To fulfil the risk management requirements by ensuring all risks in production system and associate utilities are identified, procedures are established and implemented
• To manage the human resources available to the production department in order to maintain a flexible and efficient work culture
• Utilize the CMMS to ensure compliance and to report any non-compliance
• To assist in the management of the unit budget, preparation of accounts and financial reports, cost control and authorize expenditure related to the area of authority
• Be familiar with the unit’s production systems and ensure that production crew are trained in the safe operation and maintenance
• Have the knowledge of safety requirements, including permit to work systems, operational and emergency procedures, company policy and instructions and ensure that the unit’s production crew are aware of and understand them
• Maintain accurate records for operation and maintenance system
• Responsible for ensuring sufficient stock level, and timely ordering of spare parts to ensure the unit’s operational capabilities and safety
• Assist in the planning of major repairs, modifications and surveys and keep the OIM informed of the process unit status
• To liaise with the MSUP for assistance with maintenance on the process plant
• Responsible for all operation in the production department
• Shall ensure that all safety precaution is taken and that the work is carried out in a safe manner
• Responsible for ensuring that the Safety Management System and operational procedures are implemented within the production department
• Write Operational Procedures and Temporary Work instructions as required
• Responsible to ensure that all plant start-up and shutdown are performed safely in accordance with procedures
• Responsible to ensure the safe and efficient isolation, de-isolation and reinstatement of all process plant
• Review daily operation reports and transmit at the correct time
• Provide Client and Company with necessary reports
• Perform individual appraisals of production crew according to YP’s procedures and ensure that training needs are identified and training requirements fulfilled
• Monitor and support contractor’s activities on the process plant and ensure work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with the Management System
• Together with OIM, liaise with the Client representative on-board in production issues
• Manage necessary familiarization with new policies and instructions issued by the company and on the job training for all personnel in the process department
• Responsible for day/night shift manning adequate to operational load
• To act as Production Safety representative and attend Safety Meetings
• Ensure the production crew is familiar with the safety shut-down system and the knowledge of necessary actions to take in the event of alarms / shut-down situations, i.e. PSD, ESD, fire and gas alarms
• Ensure information to CCR concerning crude transfer operations
• Make proper hand over notes on completion of tour duty
• Ensure personnel qualifications are established and that each individual is given the opportunity of improvement through selective on the job training
• Undertake training relevant to the position requirements
• On-the-job-training of subordinates and trainees
• Member of Emergency Response Team
Qualification Required & Experience
• To meet STCW III/2.
• Desirable to have technical education at higher level
• Should complete Advance Process Operation training
• 10 years’ experience on the offshore installations or seagoing service as a Production Engineer
• Standard of competence according to Yinson Competence Assurance Matrix
• Experience in Process Operation, Oil Field Operation and having good knowledge of the nature of oil, gas and water production and associated problem shooting
• Have supervision experience
• Excellent command in both written and spoken English.
