The Adentan Municipal Assembly under the Local Government Service is seeking to recruit a Public Relations Officer (PRO)

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

•   Lead and direct short, medium and long-term overarching strategic communications, public relation and marketing plans and activities to market and re-brand the ADMA;
•   Develop and implements Assembly's communications and marketing strategy.
•   Provide strategic and tactical communication advice to the Coordinating Director and the MCE to promote and re-brand the image of the Assembly
•   Act as the main liaison with the Ministry of Information on the planning and holding of the meet- the-Press and other public relation programmes to enhance the image of ADMA.
•   Respond to the communication and marketing threats and challenges to the image and reputation of the assembly
•   Ensure the quality and thoroughness of communication plans through close involvement of the PRCC of the assembly, MCE. the Coordinating Director HODs and staff of the assembly
•   Establish effective relationships and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders of the Assembly to ensure acceptance and achievement of the Assembly's wide vision and MS products -and services.
•   Develop the short term and long term communications and public information strategic and operational plans and following their approval manage their implementation.
•   Establish, manage and ensure the periodic production of the Adentan Newsletter
•   Serves as the point of contact of media enquires
•   Maintain a good working relationship with the PRCC of the Assembly to enable them operationalize Public Relations functions as required by Act 462

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum of first Degree preferably in Public Relations, Advertising and Marketing from a recognized University.
•   A Master's Degree in related field will be an added advantage
Membership of a Reputable Professional Body such as the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) or Ghana institute of Journalism (GIJ) will be an added advantage.
•   Seven (7) years of relevant working experience in Public Relations, three (3) of which must have been m the Public Services of Ghana
