A start-up vehicle inspection company is seeking candidates to fill the following vacant position: Quality Control Manager

Job Summary

•   The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for ensuring the inspection lines run efficiently and generate a consistently suitable output for the company and its customers.S/he will report to the Facility Manager.

Duties

•   Ensure the effective and efficient running of the inspection lines to generate the required output
•   Ensure that the service provided to customers is fit for purpose consistent, and meets both external and internal requirements
•   Devise ways of improving the inspection process to ensure better service to customers and other stakeholders
•   Set quality standards, monitor actual performance and requried improvements
•   Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
•   Ensure the maintenance of accurate and reliable records of the test status of all vehicles
•   Ensure the timely provision of information to the DVLA in order to facilitate its monitoring and supervisory responsibilities
•   Evaluate and ensure adherence to health and safety practices and processes at the premises
•   Make sure that the company is working as effectively as possible to keep up with the competition
•   Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Facility Manager from time to time

Qualification Required & Experience

•   University Degree in Engineering or other science-related field or relevant HND
•   At least seven(7) years professional experience, four(4) of which should have been in a management role. Managerial experience within a similar role will be an advantage
•   Excellent understanding of industry code specification, regulations and regulatory reporting requirements
•   Proven leadership track record driving business performance
•   Excellent people and team skills
•   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•   Strong mentoring & coaching experience to a team with diverse skills
•   Ability to guide, direct, motivate and inspire others to action
•   Ready to travel when needed
