Job Vacancy For Quantity Surveyor



A reputable organization seeks to engage the services of the following: Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary

•   Vet bills of quantities submitted by consultants
•   Vet claims submitted by consultants and contractors
•   Coordinate the timely completion and quality of delivery of projects
•   Monitor and review the progress of project construction
•   Conduct site inspections and meetings
•   Assist in the contract negotiations
•   Prepare bills of quantities for projects that are not being managed by consultants
•   Coordinate the preparation of tender documents and tender reports
•   Conduct market survey to obtain current prices of building materials or rates of work items
•   Coordinate the vetting and processing of payment certificates
•   Supervise the vetting of project cost variation orders for projects that have exceeded their projected period of execution

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A Bachelor's Degree in Building Technology or related qualification.
•   Ten (10) years relevant post qualification working experience

Age: Preferably not more than 50 years

Competencies

•   Must be conversant with project costing and management.
•   Ability to plan, coordinate and monitor activities is essential
•   Should be computer literate with good competencies in Microsoft Word, Excel and relevant quantity surveying softwares
•   Good knowledge of principles of management and supervision is desirable
•   Must have good communication skills
•   Must be meticulous, results-oriented and honest
•   Should be able to uphold confidentiality
