Duties

• Conduct pre-loss survey of properties (building and other civil structures) for insurance underwriting purpose and recommend measures to protect the properties against losses.
• Investigate causes of loss or damage to insured properties
• Assess the nature and extent of loss or damage to insured properties and recommend remedial actions necessary for their restoration
• Solicit fot technical and general information for vetting and revision of claim estimates
• Undertake market surveys for competitive prices and rates of items/works for vetting and revision of building repair/reconstruction cost estimates
• Vet building repair/reconstruction cost estimates and claim supporting documents and accordingly revise the cost estimates
• Hold discussions with insurance claimants on revised cost estimates as part of claims handling process
• Prepare reports on pre and post-loss surveys and other executed assignments for decision making

Qualification Required & Experience

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Building Technology or Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 3 years of working experience in construction/real estate industry

OR

• Higher National Diploma in Building Technology or Quantity Surveying with minimum of 5 years of working experience in construction/real estate industry
• Membership of the Ghana institute of Surveyors or related professionals body will be an advantage

Key Skills and Abilities

• Must be computer literate and have strong analytical and data management skills
• Must be a person of interpersonal and communication skills to deal with clients
• Must have good report writing skills
• Must have the capacity to work under pressure and travel outside place of work on short notices

Age Limit: Applicant must be between the ages of 30 and 40 and must be energetic
