Job Vacancy For Regional Coordinator At CSIR-Food Research Institute



Duties and Responsibilities:

Working within the assigned region shall:

•   Serve as a key liaison person between processors and farmers; and virtually operating as the supply chain manager for the various processing plants partnering with the CAVA II Project.
•   Organize the supply of raw materials for the processors,
•   Manage relationships between processors and farmers to ensure good relations and harmony,
•   Serve as liaison between end-users, processors, farmers and other stakeholders in the assigned operational area, and the country office,
•   Facilitate access to inputs supply for farmers,
•   Liaison with the NGOs within the assigned operational areas,
•   Assist and guide farmers to keep up-to-date records of their operations,
•   Prepare and submit monthly reports on all activities undertaken,     Establish workable linkages with all on-going cassava related projects within the operational area,
•   Facilitate the meetings of business focus groups within the assigned operational area
•   Perform any other duties that will be assigned by the Country Manager and Assistant Country Manager

Reports to: CAVA II Ghana Country Manager

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A first degree in Agronomy, Crop Production, Crop protection, Plant Breeding or other related fields is required
•   An advanced degree in Agribusiness, Economics or other areas in Agriculture required
•   At least 1 year experience in Supply Chain Management required
•   At least 3 years'experience of work in the cassava value chain or a cassava related project.
•   Previous experience working with small scale farmers a must
