A reputable consulting firm in Accra, Ghana is seeking to employ a qualified and experienced professional to occupy the role of Research Consultant.

JOB SUMMARY

The Company requires a results driven and self-motivated individual to join its team of Consultants. The successful candidate will work with other Research consultants to ensure attainments of the company’s goals. He/she will report directly to the Head of Research and Knowledge Management and will be responsible for providing relevant input and support on research assignments carried out within the firm.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•   Develop research proposals, Expression of Interests, Concept Papers, Research reports and other related documents for Senior Management Review.
•   Develop data collection instruments and research guides for use during research.
•   Undertake selection and training of field staff to be used on Research projects.
•   Supervise field teams on research assignments.
•   Undertake and supervise data entry and quality control data entry of field staff;
•   Conduct analysis and quality control statistical analysis.
•   Undertake business development and follow up on business leads.
•   Undertake any other duties assigned to you by Senior.
•   Undertake all other duties assigned by Senior.

Qualification Required & Experience

Interested applicants must have the following qualifications, experience, knowledge and skill:

•   First Degree in any social science field and a Master’s Degree (preferably an MPhil).
•   Minimum of 4 years relevant working experience in the fields of Developmental Research
•   Demonstrable strong research skills
•   Well organised, pro-active, hands-on individual with excellent leadership, communication and writing skills.
•   Ability to work independently with minimum review.
•   Ability to conceptualization, undertake team management and deliver on assignments within budget.
•   Ability and willingness to work long hours and to travel outside Accra when the need arises.
•   Ability to use Statistical analysis tools including SPSS.
•   Good knowledge and skills in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Power point, Visio
