Job Summary

•   Undertake Preliminary Resource and Reserve Modelling;
•   Analyze geological, survey and geotechnical data, and design development layouts, stopping blocks, long hole drilling and blasting layouts;
•   Assist with the consolidation of the Company's resource and reserve estimates;
•   Interpret drilling and produce 3D Wireframe Models while updating Resource Models;
•   Ensure accurate and timely data collation for resource work and undertake data validation and maintenance of quality control systems;
•   Train, direct and motivate own staff to ensure the achievement of set objectives;
•   Ensures the achievement of high standards in the management of health, safety and environmental issues in the department;

Qualification Required & Experience

•   BSc. Geological Engineering;
•   Minimum of three (3) years post qualification work experience, two of which must have been in the Mining industry;
•   Good Computer Skills with Proficiency in geological and mining software such as Surpac; 3D modeling; Mapinfo and other related software packages;
•   Must be conversant with the Mining Act and related regulations of the Republic of Ghana and be able to interpret and apply these laws and regulations;
•   Leadership experience and a strong desire to coach and develop others;
•   Well developed oral and written communication skills;
•   Must possess a valid Ghanaian driving license and have the ability to drive in rough terrain;
•   Ability to work under pressure with little supervision;
